Overview
What is the main goal for this project?

Student-consultants will analyze and address your organization's most pressing social media marketing questions for your small- and medium-sized organizations, including non-profit organizations.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?
  • 90 hours of student effort
  • 10-page, double-spaced report with Executive Summary report detailing strategic social media marketing solutions
  • Final presentation (attendance required)
  • Please note that the student team will not be permitted to work directly on social media accounts, although they may make specific recommendations.
Project Examples

In teams of 3, student-consultants will spend 90 hours analyzing your potential for developing your audience and connecting with your customers through social media. The student team will work towards creating strategies that will seek to answer one or more of your marketing-related questions.

Projects may include, but are not limited to:

  • How can my organization use social media strategically to attract customers?
  • How can social media be used strategically to build long term customer relationships?
  • What are the possibilities for social media content?
  • How should social media posts be scheduled?
Additional company criteria

Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

Be available for a 30-minute phone/Zoom/MS Teams call with the instructor to initiate your relationship and confirm your scope is an appropriate fit for the course.

Provide a dedicated contact who is available to answer periodic emails or phone calls over the duration of the project to address students' questions.
